    Default Powder or Vinyl Paint

What do you all think about the pros and cons of powder vs vinyl paint for jigs?

Vinyl paints are good. Not the best, but good. They can be sprayed or dipped. Need to keep MEK on hand for thinning. They release solvent fumes which can become a headache in a small area. They are flammable. The finish is not as tough as the powders. The containers can allow the materials to dry out. Powder paint is tougher than the vinyl. It needs no solvents (such as MEK). Lasts forever without going bad. Multi-colors difficult to handle on small jig heads.

Both are very good, but vinyl has a lot of drawbacks. Example is they take a lot longer to cure and then they are all flat so need the clear finish to get them to be a gloss finish. The thicken and need thinning regular as willis said. Lots of other things and I have and use both, but powder much more.

Regular spray paint works for me. Light prime job then paint. Gonna lose them pretty quick anyhow.
