i take the genz head and cut the bottom wieght of the head. then the weight is forward increaseing hook gap to eye point. tie your line to it and it will always hang horizontal. if not what your looking for contactl jacobs bait the might be able to design you something

Nope. Weight forward yes. The distance thing, NO. Lol It's not the lead placement, it's the hook. If it was just the lead placement, I would order a blank mold and go to the machine shop. I just hate when I hook one in the roof, then that eye that's about a foot long sticking out of the head makes for lost time unhooking a fish. Not to mention missed bites, and bending the point out to increase the gap, no thanks.

I guess thousands of us are just wrong in liking the sickle...

To me there's no better place to stick em than in the roof,and your right that 30 seconds that it takes to unhook one I might have missed 4 more fish...:confused:
