Appreciate it Fatman. Between the stickies and all of the pages that there are in this forum, it has kept me doing a lot of homework. Definitely a vault of information here.

I do have a question though. What alcohol do you use in the alcohol burners,the denatured or Isopropyl?

That's one I don't know I heat them in the oven right now - but hoping to get a heat gun.

I have since learned from Skip that denatured is used.

Smoke your molds with a candle and the pours will be so much better. I fought with incompletes til I did mine. Good luck with all the new toys.

Welcome to the club. I got into it and never looked back. Very rewarding to catch fish on what you have made. I make all my stuff from ground zero now. You may already know this but you will never recover all of your cost monetarily. Only out of satisfaction.

Making your own jigs is very addicting and satisfying. I love looking into my tacklebox and seeing trays filled with jigs I made and knowing they will all catch fish. After awhile you'll like what you make a whole lot better than what you see in the stores.

You're going to find this site a great resource. People here will give you a good steer and save you a lot of time. Good luck!
