Can use all kinds of their feathers. The main ones are the barred gold side ones, but lots of goo stuff there. I sure would take some if you have plenty.

    Default Flank

Frank, add me to your list if you have plenty and don't mind. Wings and body have many uses, but flank feathers are the classic feathers. Jig tiers love to play around with a variety of new materials.
    Thanks in advance,

Sorry DON'T add me to the list. I got plenty. LOLS !!!! I hunt and have traded for feathers and bought some dyed color flanks of Mallard.

What I want to say about those is there is a pattern that ether JungleJim or PBug came up with with. Sorry I don't remember who to give credit for it. It Was called the Flash Duck. I have been tying that one up and have had some success with it. The neat thing about it is that it is simple to tie and can be made up to be a electric Chicken with dyed feathers. Do a search on them and tie a few not hard and a great fish getter.

Ok guys, my next question is, are feathers just plucked or do you skin the bird. maybe we can trade some feathers for some jigs.

Just pluck them if you skin the bird the skin has to be salted and borax added to preserve it. Stuff the feathers in a paper sack and add a few moth balls to kill the bugs for a week or put in the freezer for a couple of days. Then store in clear Zip loc bags. At least thats the way I do it. Its not hard,
