They will do the job and I still use a lot of use regular chenille jigs when I fish. I almost never use the stick on eyes, heck I don't even use painted eyes on my personal jig most of the time. YOu could do well and never use any of the fancy stuff as I do most of the time. I have several combos that use regular stuff as most of my go to jigs!

Skip for some unknown reason I paint eyes on just about all the jigs I tie. I never even painted heads until I started to tie crappie jigs. I guess that it is a habit Paint the head then give it eyes. Hope that it it will make the jigs see better??? I don't know.

Well my take on painting the heads or not is I can't see it hurting the jig. Eyes are kind of the same, how can they hurt? However if either makes one feel better they will end up catching more since they have more confidence in them and that is big!Quote:
