Found a cheap source for arctic fox tails

Fox tails arrived today, so as promised here are the pics.

Not a bad deal for a little over $20 with shipping.

Another tail I got in a different auction from a Chinese seller. It's much bigger with longer hair, but cost about the same as all three smaller tails put together:

This is just the smaller tails. I'm sure I'll be tying off of these for a long time. The amount of hair these guys have attached to a teeny strip of hide is just phenomenal.

Yes the tails have a lot more hair/fur than the body hair/fur and the only real difference is with the body hair/fur there is no under fur. If you want to ever do any dubbing you can comb it out as you cut some to tie and save the underfur for later and mix it with small pieces of flash you cut off and save to put it in the dubbing.

This one is white white, except for a bit of yellowing. I'm guessing due to age or sunlight exposure. Should provide lots of nice hair for jigs, though.

That looks like 2 tails?

It's a lined fur stole. Here it is from the bottom with the lining removed:

Looks like a bunch of strips of body fur sewn together.
