    Default Very Disappointing Saturday

Since I had my son here for Thanksgiving I decided to try and pour some jigs. Had him do all the heavy lifting for me, got everything set up, hooks all loosed up and separated in size piles and swivels all ready to go.

Got the lead pots going and 20 minutes later J:LKJ:LJ:LKJ:LKJ. the pots were hotter than heck on top but half temp on bottom. Had to tip them on their side and use a propane torch to get the lead out.

Turned around and put all the parts away and got everything totally put away. Now I have to get hold of LEE company and see what I need to do to send them back, for the rehab program. I'll call them from work tommorrow and I will be sending them priority so I can get them back quick.

After all the medical crap I've gone through the last 2 yrs. I was just so bummed. I really wanted to try and get something done after being out of everything for so long.

    Just a little rant!!!

Doug, if you need some heads to hold you over, just PM me and let me know what you need. I'll get some headed your way N/C. I'll be out of town for a few days, but can ship them this weekend. Also you might want to compare Cabelas vs getting your refurb. With the shipping cost you might be better off with NEW.

Thanks for the offer but I really don't NEED any I have LOT's poured but I just wanted to pour while the son was here to do the heavy lifting. I've just been so BORED not doing anything fishing for so long.

I actually got hit by the wife when she found out though LOL. Even with my son telling her that he did the heavy lead bucket lifting she was still mad LMAO

Talked to the LEE folks this morning and the Lady said based on their age they usually just send out new ones for the 1/2 price replacement. Pot 1 I bought in 1984 pot 2 in 1987 so I've definately got my use out of them - I just really wanted to pour!!!

Box is going to LEE tommorrow with a check for $76.98 and we should have some good ones soon.

Man, I can sympathize with you. I've been laid up with bum legs for almost 2 years now. I've been fightin' social security for my disability, can't afford anything, TV sucks, and reading puts me to sleep. It just seems like one darned thing after another. Thanks goodness for the internet and the ability to stay connected. Hang in there Fatman. Things should come around someday soon.

Sorry to hear about the bum day Fatman. I don't get much time to do what I like to do and when things go badly, I react. And Joe, I've spent about 3 1/2 years on workers comp with a couple of injuries in the past. Daytime TV is why people sit in the parks and talk to themselves. Better times are coming guys. I learned that when things start going crazy to just hunker down and wait it out. Things always turn soon.
