I like marabou in the spring and fall, but early spring I like kip tails. I have some that like kip tails all the time though.
It's a personal preference thing.

I'm gonna start making some crappie jigs for this Fall. I read some where but can't find it. Wich is better in the Fall, Marabou or Kip tail, or does it not matter at all?

we use both materials all through the year we seem to do quite well the fish really do not have any preference in our location is they do strike a wide variety of jig patterns and materials to be used like skip this is my own preference it may vary from place to place on the material that you use but in the snake River it doesn't seem to matter.

Always been 50/50 for me, but you keep trying until you find what they want.
you really need to have both in my opinion.
I tie them both and always have some of each in the tackle box. The crappies tell me what they want on a particular day. I like marabou or plastic though.

I agree with skip its a personal thing I think also. I have also read that marabou has more action in colder water than hackle. My self I like hackle.
I would also make sure I have both. Profile, action, air holding, different fishing techniques, and everything else, as well as confidence all play a role. Never hurts to have something different when your go to's seem gone to's.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
