    Default Powder painting Roadrunners?

I have a few Roadrunners with paint that has gone all gooey. I stripped off what was left of the old paint job with acetone and want to repaint them. Will I need to take off the blade and split ring before applying the powder paint? What's the best method for protecting the swivel from getting gummed up with paint?

Check with Fatman, he has a method that uses foil. That may be your bet if your wanting to leave the hardware on.

I cover the swivels with tin foil to paint, but take it off before you cure!

That be the way. But I'd take off the split ring and blade before you do the powder. Not sure if the heat would crack the plating on the blade. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks. I hate dealing with split rings, but I only have four that need repainting, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
