    Default Crappie Jig Application?

What do you guys think about using this chenille wrap technique for a crappie jig?

That's a great tie, and I don't think it would adapt to a jig very well. I say that because it would change the drop rate which is what makes a sinko one of the best plastic worms for bass fishing. Giving the fish the chance to check it out and it not making any super quick moves would make it a real killer. I'd like to see one in a real pale gray.

That is a cool way to use chenille. Kind of reminds me of the way you tie an green weenie with marabou added but I like them too :D. I do think it will effect the drop rate but it may end up being a good trolling jig?

Cool fly! Simple.... I might have to try it.
The one thing that I'm wondering is how durable it is.

If you tie a trailer hook onto a jig; would give you a bigger shad imitation (for fall) and allow you to keep a smaller jig weight like 1/16.

What about a one size hook bigger with extra long shank, the extra look length would give you the space so you don't crowd everything on the hook. it should also help with the fall rate

Added a jig head to this fly pattern.
