    Default crappie chatterbait?

I don't know how small of a blade you could use and still get vibration (just like in a bass chatterbait) but hooked to a crappie jig would make a great trolling lure. Maybe the next hot bait? What do you think?

Man that would need to be a small one I would think, but I do like that chatterbait that they make for bass. Not sure if it would bring crappie of scare the heck out of them, LOL! That Chatterbait sure took a different spin on spinner baits and has so much vibration I bet it would help in muddy water conditions.

I would love to see one though and try it.

Yeah crappies seem to be more leary of noise unlike bass... largemouth bass bite anything that can fit in there mouth that makes a ruckuss... they even sometimes die from trying to swallow fish bigger than there mouth by choking there gills lol

I figure it will take some expermenting to get the right size blade. Should be easy enough to make with some snips and a sheet of alumiun. Would use with croppie jigs and plastic bodies for summer trolling when fish are more active. Now just to get the time to make them up.

Yeah I'm sure you might be able to make one that works... just experiment with different sized blades... I think maybe it might work best with a really low frequency chatter so it doesn't scare them... I dunno I have been making experimental lures myself... good luck!
