First Time trying this procedure out lol! I think i need to use a diff brush!

looks good for your 1st attempt. after you dip the brush tap some of the pp back into the container, then lightly tap some on the jighead while hold the jighead over the pp container....... it doesnt take alot of paint. practice, practice, practice, is all it takes. keep up the good work.
