Skip It is funny how light can play tricks on baits and the way fish see them. To me it is a different world the way we look at a bait and a fish looking at it. Beautiful Job. IT caught my eyes.

    Thanks guys!

revtoby they are not thread body, but Fluorescent Nylon Wool. It comes on a spool like thread, but not as much come on each spool, good bit thicker and sort of fuzzy.

I wouldn't say this is how fish see the colors, but they can see things we can not see like UV for example. Fluorescent colors are also seen different than we see them and that I do believe, but using a black light just lets us humans see what we can not see at all. So I for sure don't know what fish see when these UV & Fluorescent colors are in their sight, but they see things we don't and the only way we can even see something is different is by using a black light.

I hope that is more clear than mud, but I am probably not the best at answering this except that I know they see what we don't.

    Thanks Stump Hunter!

Wonderful job Skip. I have done many Crappie candy as well as the original Clouser in the chartreuse and white patterns. They will catch all types of gamefish. That was an interesting blacklight photo. Cutting edge stuff.

Thanks Ship. Yes it's a classic pattern by Al Campbell and I started tying is a long time ago when I found if on FAOL. I tied it exactly like he did even down to every piece of materials.
