Painting jig heads using vinyl paint, they say you should paint the jigs with white primer first before you paint the color for best look. What type of primer do you use? vinyl white paint or does it matter?

Yes vinyl white paint for your primer. Your top coat (of whatever vinyl color you want the final color to be) will probably react to water based paints. The thinners in vinyl paints are WICKED!! White powder paint as a primer may work but I have never tried it.

Thanks I'll use white vinyl paint as the primer. About how long do you have to let the vinyl white dry before you paint the main color?
it really depends on a lot of factors: temp, humidity, amount of coverage. if you are dipping them, make sure you blot the drip that forms and wait at least 15 minutes. with a brush you may be able to get away with 10 minutes. If you are impatient, hit 'em with a hair dryer.
