    Would suggest that you get on You Tube and watch a few of the many jig tying videos on there then study some of the jigs in the jig picture sticky's. Try to duplicate what you see. Looks like you have the basic concept on what to do you just need to refine it. Jig tying is a art and some of these guys are really artist.

    You will get better I bet that you had to learn to crawl before you could run. Same thing here now you are crawling and soon you will be walking. In a few months you will be running with the big dogs. Keep up the effort keep learning and do your best.

    Looks like you need some better quality marabou, too! Pull the pointy fibers off the stem and try tying that in, not the whole feather.

    Looks like you're trimming the feather some. If you have strung marabou, use the whole feather for one jig and don't trim it. You'll get a more natural look. And only use the top side of the feather, the bottom side will have the big stem that you want to cut off and dispose of.
