I prefer the Lee bottom pour pot IV, or RGBS makes a nice one also. If you're only gonna pour a few hundred you could always get a small pot and a good ladle. Check Janns, Barlows, Midway BassPro - Find the cheapest one.

Where is a good place to buy Soft Lead in Bulk 50lbs or more at a time? Pure lead check Roto Metals, plumbing stores etc. Don't knock the tire weight lead, I've got some of the Do It's and I can mold down to 1/32 on some of them.

What are the best brands of molds not the most expensive the ones that work the best? Well short of customs, DO IT molds, Hilts old Amants even some of the old Palmers figure out what style you want to pour first (type of jigs) then get those. Do It's you can get them at Janns, Zeiners, Barlows and many more.

    Bulk Hook Supplier?

Capt Hooks Captain Hook's Discount Warehouse

And any other Supplies I need to make my own jigs basically what supplies do you need to make good looking jig heads?

Paint your choice powder or viynl, some use just plain lead heads. If powder you'll need some sort of heater either a heat gun or toaster oven, alcohol lamp etc. If you're going to tie jigs then a vice chenille, hackle, bucktail, kiptail etc.

Read back through all the threads and you'll find an amazing amount of links and opinions on molding and painting stuff. Also read the stickies on lead safety and fluxing.

Fatman didn't lead you astray, that's good advice. I'll tack a little more on. Lead-- Go to your local metals recyclers, roof jacks are pure soft lead, plumbing lead (pipes and traps) is soft with 10% tin. Watch for hospitals remodeling, X-ray rooms are soft lead either sheet or a wallpaper like lead. Wheel weights are good also, even mixing them is good. I personally don't like pure soft lead, to much flash, pockets, and the jigs dent easier knocking off the paint. I use a Lee pot also, and my new toy- a cast iron tea pot with a square spout. (it rocks). Lurecraft is another place, they're not bad for $, depends shop them all. Some are Eagle Claw 'dealers', others Mustad. Specialty hooks shopping can really pay off. MY .02 Enjoy and I hope this helps, you can always pm me with any ????

    fat man is spot on
In our government-controlled schools we are taught that Lincoln was our greatest president because his war ended slavery and saved the Union. As usual, the other side of the story – the side that reflects poorly on the government – somehow gets lost. – Richard J. Maybury, The Abe Lincoln Hoax

Fatman nailed it on all accounts. But I will tell you it is cheaper just to buy it in the package by the time you buy everything. Unless you are just wanting another hobby.
