Default Durable paint for jig "eyes" ?

I use testors black enamel and clear coat with fingernail polish on my roadrunners and the eyes still flake off after a couple hours of fishing. This it just from contact with bottom, rocks ,etc. With the way the RR's eyes stick out away from the head there just more prone to hit things. Anyone got any advice to make 'em last better ?

Vinyl paint or several layers of clear polish (lacquer).

Just cover with Hard as Nails after painting, they will stand up to almost anything.
