First I would like to say Congradulations to Revtoby. You have taken on and steped up to give Skip some welcome relief.

Second to Skip I know that this is like the first drops of a spring rain," refreshing". You have done a stellar job here my friend. Now maybe you can sit back and enjoy yourself a little more knowing that there is someone else around to watch the shop. Rest that shoulder, fish a little and enjoy one of those new pipes that you got. I can only speak for myself but I appreciate the hard work that you have done to keep us in line and this forum one of the most popular on the site. Congrads to you to.

Thanks guys and I took advantage of that today even though I still feel guilty since I have so many orders still to fill. However one has to go fishing sometime huh? It was not the best day according to the charts and even with a bunch of unwanted wind we did pretty good this morning with 26 keepers and probably 15 or so undersized trow backs that were between 9" and 9 7/8". I lost my biggest one and he just pulled off but got to see him as he pulled off and was a bigun (I am talking at minimum 15" maybe more). Then I got hold of something really big, don't know what but he came back at me and under the boat just stripping drag and finally pulled off too. Both pulled off a spinner bait with small hook, but I also caught a good many on that little bugger. The friend that took me was not happy I only had the one spinner bait though, LOL! I just have not tied but a few and only one of several colors I tied and which I had tied a few more and more colors too. Other than that everything else came on a Roadrunner and a few colors of them. We did have a good bunch of very nice ones from about 12" -14" and maybe one a bit bigger. We divided them so no pictures and don't know If I will take any of the 12 I personally kept.

I am so not use to fishing and my shoulder killing me the entire time, but I didn't care and had a ball, but so tired now that I am headed to my chair for some rest and maybe even a short nap, LOL! One beat up puppy here!

Oh and another friend is taking me again tomorrow. Nice to have some friends when my boat is stuck in the air and tomorrow morning will be my 4th time of the year.

    Thanks guys,

I echo the sentiments of Snake River and realize that my friend Skip has done a lot to see that the jig tying forum is a success. I commend Revtoby for joining Skip in this endeavor and know the forum is in good hands. The jig tying forum really does what Ed designed this forum to do which is pass on what limited knowledge we have to the next generation. Skip has chosen well in picking Revtoby. Congratulations.
