Anyone see how high the plastic baits have gone up in the last year? I guess oil prices have done it. Might have to start pouring my own. Any tips from the pros for tubes and curly tails 2"?

If you get into it go injection . Hand pour is a pain unless you have the nerves of a surgeon. Two molds an injector , 5 basic colorants 1 gal. plastisol a pair of kevlar coated mechanics gloves and a used microwave will run you about 250 to 300 dollars . I suggest Jacobs baits as your starting point. His bait molds are unsurpassed for quality and ease of use and generally you get more cavities in his molds. I know him to have honesty and integrity in his business practices.
if you need curly tail jigs, let me know, i've got a bunch from the bulk section
at the outlet center in spfd. mo. have more than i need, and have several colors.

To be honest you can buy ALOT of baits for what you can make them for. Plastisol has gone sky high and unless you buy 5 gallons at a time or more the cost is crazy. I love pouring and make 1000 or more baits a week but for the average fisherman it is cheaper to buy, unless you just want another hobby.
