Default Night shift ..... Jig planning

I sometimes pull a night shift when I need extra money.. Like I do now.. The wife put a hold on me buying any jig tying accessories and my excuses for buying Sally hansons and outdated Christmas and Halloween stuff isn't cutting the mustard any more... So instead of buying jig heads I'm really helping PBug pay for a water pump for his house...

Question ::: what are some ways you guys plan new jigs layouts?? Excluding web surfing... Does anyone scetch out patterns, I recently posted a couple pics of some salt water patterns I've been working on and got only a couple of responses... Is it because they wernt crappie jigs?? I'm really looking for feedback on new patterns I'm working on.. I'm trying to incorporate some salt fly patterns into jigs....jigs are jigs right?? Can't find a saltwater jig forum... Sorry for the long letter but I've got time to kill.

I would suggest to slab a saltwater tying jigs form. I think this is a perfect ideal.
