Tying Stations!

This is an old pic and the lighting just won't work for an updated one right now, but this is it. The wife bought the desk for Christmas of '09, and I got the rack of drawers on the floor that also has a dozen rod holders that I can't use or the dogs will splinter the rods when they run by. For my birthday this past year She bought me a set of material drawers that stacks on top of the desk. She's good to me. This works good for me, and it lets me put things up and close the front to keep things where they belong, or others out. Always thinking of improvements.

That is what I call making the most of what you got. Love it

here is my area , the wife let me move into den I'll have to get neew pictures nice having own room have tying station and a pouring and painting area and can leave it all out now and just shut the door no more hearing her complain about cleaning up desk!Attachment 53721!Attachment 53720!Attachment 53719

Looks great everyone! ok, so i tie in my attic and pour my own jigs, but i have to bring everything down and pour outside because my attic doesnt have very good ventalation. it has 2 vents at the top and i was think about making some sort of hood for my desk that sucks air out of the attic through the vent. does anybody have any suggestions? i was thinking 2 small box fans one for push one for pull. maybe a large square funnel shape for the intake above my desk, some hose leading to the fan(like a vacuum) and then mounting the fan to the vent.

sounds like that will work , I put a box fan in the window when I'm pouring ,blowing out

I think your exhaust will work for you but you might also check to see if you can come up with one of those range hoods with the exhaust fan built in then you could use flex dryer vent pipe to exhaust to your roof vent.

so your saying it would be better if the fan was in the hood pushing the air through the pipe rather than having the fan suck it through the pipe.

well you can sure tell you guys are married there's not even a speck of dust around your tying stations.

All my stuff is in a box. Ipull it out and put everything on the kitchen cabinet top. I have my vise mounted on a board that I stick under the box to hold it down. When I get through I just pack it all up back in the box.
