Question Dying deer and squirrel hair

What is the best method for dying deer and squirrel hair. I don't have a problem with black, but the other colors are not doing well for me.

first of all I do not know what type of die using but on hair wash. The material in soapy water to get all Greece and everything off then I'll put the hair into hot water on the stove in I do use white vinegar to set the and die . leave material and die in till you get the right color want dark or light hang your hair up to dry after its through put borax on the high side . If you like or after it's dry. Make sure that you pack hair in moth balls.

Yep degreasing with Dawn or a dishwashing soap helps a lot. What exactly are your problems?

I bought some red and yellow rub in hair dye at Sally's beauty supply that is supposed to be a permanent dye. The hair will not take the color, maybe I did not degrease it enough.
