I have used quite a bit of it and have enjoyed it because you can get it dyed up into different colors . It works great on small jigs.

I should have had my huntin buddies keep their tails. They only killed a 120 or so this year. If ya'll will remind me, I'll snag a bunch of them next fall.
My favoritest material. You just can't beat it for trout. I have been using this stuff since the 50's.

Good stuff although it is a bit slippery when you tie, I always make sure I have a good thread base so it doesn't move around
The goggleye and smallies love the fox squirrel and the grey works great in clear water for crappie.

I have used squirrel tail jigs to catch crappie here in North Louiaiana for a while now. My favorite color combo is: pink head -chartreuse chinelle boby -cat squirel tail. This has been a real Spring crappie getter for me and my crappie fishing buddies.
Just dyed some blue n caught real good on em yesterday.
