I don't see anything "odd" about a 1/32oz jighead w/#4 hook. (or are we talking about a #4 sickle hook ??)
When I first had Grousefly make me some jigheads .... they were 1/32 & 1/16oz w/#4 Aberdeens. I had him make me some 1/32 & 1/16oz jigheads w/#2 Aberdeens, over the last couple of years.
When I think of "odd", when it comes to jigheads ... my first thoughts go to 1/24oz & 3/32oz heads .... LOL !!! (those "tweener" sizes) :p Then I start thinking about the short shank hooks on some of Grousefly's creations  But, they all work ... ;)
... cp
Bugman which hook are you using for the 1/16 with #1 hook. I made some for the bronzeback boys and they didn't like the 570 hook, to much flex and twist. I was wondering about a different hook.
i modified my 1/16oz to hold the size 1-2 hooks..i have poured alot of 1/16-2...Just about everything thing i pour is sickles pappy.
Tied and sold several 100 of 'em. Lots of room to work on. ;)
Sounds like it leaves enough room to tie in a parachute type addition with hackle between the eye and the lead. Should slow down the fall of a jig significantly or at least give it a different falling profile. Anyone wanna send me a few so I can tie it like that and post pictures? ;)
