Matching the thread would make 'em look a bit nicer (to the fisherman, but probably no difference to the fish:rolleyes) but as far as I'm concerned a week of tying and youre making some fish catching jigs.:) I'm no tyer but IMO youre making all this look too easy.;):) From the looks of just a week's tying I'd say youre fixing to have to start buying jigheads by the thousand though.:eek::D:D
And/Or the color of the jig head. I use a small fine File on coller Jigs, but only to take the barb off,Quote:

good job on your first time I'm sure that they will all catch fish .
Those are not bad for your first effort. Better than most first ties including mine. Try and keep your thread wraps neat and your two color chennile evenly spaced. Having said all that, you will catch fish with those.
Looks good for first week and on the ones the thread is showing you can eliminate a lot of that with one more wrap of chenille. Still it's better to have thread as close to the body color as you can.
Keep it up and what you have will catch fish.

Your hooked for sure. Nice start. Only suggestion beside the thread is to stop your chenille right above the hook point. Don't go back too far.
nice job and keep practice and y'll got better and skills and make many differents, i have do samethings last 6 year ago and now i can tie 1/64 oz jig with strung neck hackle is tough and smaller..

Great job!!!!! You can pick up some matching thread colors to make them match more but if you're only gonna be using them for yourself you can stay cheap and use the black thread. but as you get better you'll want the matching threads. Keep up the good work and enjoy yourself.
Post some pics when you catch your first one on your own jig.
