Powder Paint question
Hello All
I just bought two jars or Pro Tec and have a question after attempting to coat some jigs. The two colors I purchased was White Pearl and Watermelon Pepper. The White seems to work great no issue with that, however the watermelon Pepper I am having some problems with. I am using a heat gun to heat the jig and then simple shaking the jar and level it off and dunking the jig in and tapping to get the excess off. Then I simply wave it over the heat gun to ensure all the power is melted. When the jig dries it is essentially black with only a single area or two with what I would call green with black flakes. Is there some type of trick or suggestion anyone has for me to get this to work like it is suppose to, green with black flecks. I tried about 12 jigs last night and can not get it right, I am using a do-it minnow head mold so I got this color to match the local bait fish in the ponds that I fish.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
