Had not looked at that thread since it first started, but yeah a low turn out and I thought lots would sign up. I swore off swaps after my first because I never know what will come in tomorrow so I get in a bind a lot. I would do it, but would never get them tied by then due to my obligations I have right now. Even if I had signed up earlier, I would be in a big bind right now. I can only tie a few hours a day so I have a hard time just keeping 2 - 3 weeks behind most of the time.

Still lots of guys do the swaps with you guys all the time so I find it hard to believe they didn't come through to help. Most here seem to really like the swaps so don't know why it's been slow in here either, but it has been.

While working my regular job I have been putting in more than 20 hours/week at our duck club and about the same on my other hunting/fishing income provider.

Today I am off of work but still have to get three kids to school, all my peppers picked and put up, some canned, most frozen and some made into differing jellies.

It is a busy time of year and about to get much busier once hunting starts. Sorry I cannot find the time to tie any jigs.

Do you do most of your hunting on Smithville? I'm origionally from St. Joe, and had a lease at Mound City for 30 years. I used to live for duck hunting.

My apologoies to CK - but no time to even fish right now, much less tie jigs. In the middle of a $10K+ home improvement project.

Just a few words John was a great help a member of this board and that is one of the reasons that I signed up. But this is a very busy time of year to have a memorial swap. Perhaps it would be better to reshedual this event untill some time in the near future that we all have more time. With a remodleing job on my house cutting winter wood and having to get the wife ready of oral surgry. I am one busy boy.
