places to buy neck hackle locally?

does anyone know where i can pick up some pink neck hackle at a local store? like hobby lobby or something?

You really don't want much from any kind of store like that for Neck Hackle. It's better just to order it from places you order other thing s too and get them all at one time so you save on shipping cost. Don't think you will beat Crazy Angler on that Neck Hackle and he has lots of other things you can get from him at the same time.

I have never found much in the way of good feathers at hobby lobby, but some find things there they use, just not me as I just don't find good materials there. You can pick up some feathers like peacock or may be Pheasant, not sure about them though. I have seen marabou there, but usually in some or one of the things some may put around their necks or something, but not the best quality IMHO.

Look for strung neck hackle and compare it with Crazy Angler and I bet he beats it. He's got chenille, marabou, hackle and a load of lots of other things.

I'm agreeing with Skip, 100%. Crazy has a lot of cool tying materials,something new everytime I go there. Try the PALMER CHENILLE,it's a crappie killer.

One other thing is none (that I know of) the hobby places has what your looking for with Neck Hackle or most any kind of hackle. You may once in a while find things you can use at the stores like that, but not your prime tying feathers.

You may want to keep looking at them though because feather ear rings is getting to be a hot too. I thought of making them about 3-4 years back and just never got the stuff to do it.

I have used them, but it was about 4-5 years ago when I first started. Barlow's has the same neck hackle that Crazy Angler has and I do think his is less. Don't have any real complaint with Barlow's, but when you can buy the same stuff for less it makes since to me.

Both get their hackle and marabou from Wapsi.
