Nice job! You know, all you have to do is take a hour out of your busy day and drive up here and you will have all the tying supplies you will ever need. Just bought another bunch from a guy getting out of tying, and I will probably never use it.

Nothing wrong with that one, don't be so hard on yourself. We've all been there when starting out. Just keep practicing

That's a good looking jig and I would fish with it any time. It will catch you some fish.
I don't like taking things without returning, and even moreso I'm helping multiple people, in some way shape or form, at once. I'd looooove to ride up, not for the supplies, but to watch and learn. Hope you've been good hombre. Will hollar at you soon..it's almost fishing time!

Microp .... I'm not a tyer, but I am a buyer :D .... and I've seen worse looking jigs on store shelves !! Seriously, I see nothing at all wrong with that jig.
The only thing I will say about it, in any negative sense, is that the tail feathers are a bit long. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing ... but, if I had it in my box, I'd trim the tail in half. Why, one may ask ?? To put the business end of the hook closer to the mouths of those "nippers" :p You know the ones ... those that like to nip at the end of the tail, kinda "taste testing" the bait. They can be dinks, and they can also be Slabs (I've experienced both) ... and they can also be Sunfish, of course. But, in any case, with a shorter tail (smaller profile) they're more likely to suck the whole jig in, rather than nip at the tail end. And just to put this idea into perspective ... I do the same thing to marabou Roadrunners, as soon as I take them out of the package !! And ever since I've done this, my hookup ratio, on Roadrunners, has dramatically increased.
... cp
Nice taper, really good tie off, all in all a nice looking jig. Only thing i see is that you can get a fuller look by wrapping the chenille closer or by pulling it forward for the next wrap but it isn't something that needs to be changed to have a nice jig.
I don't feel like I'm giving you anything. You earned anything you get for draging me along fishing. If you want to pay for it that's fine, my price will be cheaper than anyone elses. Plus you can see before you buy.
that jig looks fine,it will work :D
