Thanks for the tips guys. Got me some more tools coming and more materials also. All I had to make these was a cheap vise and a bobbin and white thread. The outdoor store that sponsers us is going to start stocking more crappie related tying items. The ones I have tyed so far may not win a beuty contest but I bet the will catch fish for me. Can't wait to try them.

I am suprised Everharts does not carry more. They already have the best selection for those who pour their own and at the best prices. I try to make it home during store hours when I am down that way. Might need to go see Woodson Roddy prior to duck season starting for a day and stop in at Everharts. Keep it up.

What you've been told about removing the bou and using the strands is spot on. Mine dance better since I started doing them that way. Good work, nice looking jigs. Gray and black gets alot of play, look around here for some patterns, or just imagine the profile of a minnow and go to work. Good luck and keep us posted. Welcome.
