Those look great! May can experiment with fewer silicon strands... You will get more tail action. But let the fish tell what they want... Not me!

Thanks guys. Sure is fun. My list of materials keeps growing the more I look at everyones post with pictures of their jigs. bxn I went back to Everhart's which is our tackle store here in Clinton to look for more stuff. I just happend to walk by the spinnerbaits and thought that would make a good jig. So I bought a couple five packs of replacement skirts. I can make two 3 inch jigs from each skirt. I have got the itch bad now. May make a trip to Springfield next weekend. There is a nice fly shop a couple blocks south of Bass Pro. I see the stuff on websites but not sure what a lot of it is. So thought I would go down there so I can put my hands on it before I buy it to make sure I will like it first.

I like them a lot, more ideas for the mass number of species I fish for here. Tails are longer than I would ever have thought to tie but if they catch fish who cares.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

They work great, always carry some in my box. I use use less strands with mine and with less strands the action is better. I get skirt tabs from Anderson Creek Tackle which has a great selection. Barlow's,Jann's and Stamina all carry skirt tabs as well. I've been using the fine strand rubber skirts lately and they have even better action. I've caught some nice crappie in the last two weeks on the "rubber butts". Good luck in your tournament..
