for telling me about the saltwater neck hackle and the way you tie it. I got my hackle today and tried the way you use one end piece and cut the "V's" out of the wider part of the feather. Where I was using 3 feathers to tie 1 jig, I can now tie a jig with 1 feather. The jigs look better also, I think.

Looking good and I knew you would like that stuff better. I end up after a few months with a big Qt. bag I keep my working bunch in and by that time there is a bunch of extra little V's for use and can pick 2 from what you already have. You can just pick if you want long ones or short ones.

Glad you like the Salt Water Neck Hackle and it's the only stuff I will buy a pound of, but only a very few colors. I may have to add a couple more before long.

Oh and almost forgot to say I also think you get more action like this.

Skip is one of the good guys on this site and has helped many who were willing to listen. I too learned much from him about five years ago too. He and I often share tying secrets with each other. I can't wait to see his you tube or DVD videos.

You have it down just right. Your jigs look very good.
