Default What would you do for eyes ??

Having problems with what to do for the eyes on this bait. These are 1/8 oz. spinnerbaits. The eyes are so small that nothing fits into the recessed holes. Then the bigger stick ons hit the gill plates and looks pretty bad.

Either paint of maybe find some small beads that fit and glue them in??

How large are the glue on eyes you have?

Maybe you could put a small black dot in the center and then put a drop of epoxy or something clear that would dry hard. Just thinking, might wind up looking like a 3D eye.

    Hey AZ,
Great looking spinners. I like the crawdad look. I am looking at your wire bends and it looks like you are using regular needle nose pliers. I got some round nose craft pliers at Sears (Craftsman) and I saw some at Wally World. The round nose pliers made a big difference in tuning the spinners I make. I am not trying to be critical of your work but I thought you might look at a different setup. What are the V Blades called and where did you get them? Can you feel them vibrate?? Take care....IFISH

Take a small finishing nail.... lightly dip the head in some paint and then touch it to your jig.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Look good Len,but these recesses are pretty tiny.I just put some black paint into the hole and then some Sally Hanson Hard as nails.Yhey'll be burning across the lake, lol.Ifish, you are correct, just regular needle noce pliers.I'm getting a good pair of roundnose soon. The split blades came from Grandpa Bob.He does'nt have them on his site, but has them.Email him from his site.
