Default Whatcha Think of the New Mold ??

Got a new mold the other day.I really like it.Goes from Crappie jigs with a size 1 hook all the way to the big striper sized 3/4 oz. with a 4/0 hook.NICE !! This is 3/8 oz. as I only had bronze hooks in 2/0 for it.Did some bucktail and some palmered marabou.

I have that same one and up to 1 3/8 oz I like them a lot. Sold a lot of them in the winter for Sauger jigs.

They look fine, but a little big for me since I never use a #1 hook.

Do they have a tendency to hang up in brush? Hanging up is something black bass guys try different heads to keep from that. I also think down here they would be pulling a bunch of Hydrilla in with it.

Out here all the lakes are deep and pretty much clean. They are all water sheds for drinking water.Maybe an old cactus on the bottom, lol. They disengrate pretty quick. The only time I really get hung up is when I cast a little too close to shore. And most of the fish have BIG mouths,Ha.

What do you call Crappie size with a #1 hook?... 1/8 oz.?

Is that powder paint? If you'll do the red mouth last it'll look like Tammy Fay Baker.:D

Probably 90% of my 1/8 oz jigs have a number 1 sickle hook. I just like the hook up ratio. You'll be surprised how small a fish it will catch. Even fishing standing timber I don't lose any more jigs than using a 1/32 oz with a number 6.
