    Default Screen Shot

Been trying to learn my 1197 better, but hard to do when I don't go enough. Anyway last time out I played with recording some and this was one spot I recorded and you can see the brush pile very well.

I was trying to find Waldo in there. LOL Is that a side-scan? I know nothing about them, but heard they are great.

Yes it's side scan and I will add another in here. Notice on the lower right side you can see the creek and the brush pile someone has put there. Look close. and remember it's looking to the side so a creek is just like a V or U.

If I ever get my act together I will have better photos. Oh and on the original file I can put my cursor over any place and it will give me the Long and Lat.

Same spot just more of it, but I may have stopped and started again recording and even made a turn around so you may then see on the other side. Also you notice all the stuff above the bottom in balls or something like that, well that is schools of bait fish.

Also here is where I took one shot and flipped it and cut it down to the left and right side each by it self.
I will get some with more fish showing and better settings.

Wait until I get this thing set right and you see all the fish. I today have learned a good bit on that so next time out I will get some better pictures.

yeah, it's awesome for sure! Really cool how you can see that brush pile so well and usually if setting are right you see way more fish.

Good pics Skip. Interesting to to be able to see what is under the water. That would be a great unit to have. It's a shame they didn't come with the side-scan before I bought my Humminbird.

Skip, just a suggestion but you might try it in brown. Also set sensitivity (usually 16-18 range) where you start showing a little frost. (this is some info I picked up from a guy who supposedly worked with Humminbird.
The more you use it the more you will like it.
