    Default Just tied this jig up, I think it sho is purty


    but dont know if it will catch or not. is the tail hair to long ?? was trying to get the tail to flare up but didnt have much luck with it. this is a 1/4oz head painted with sapphire blue. go easy on me guys :D

    Colors looks good. Try using a little more hair and as you tighten up on the thread it will flare out.

    That looks just fine maachuu. I think I would just look at that one and fish with an ugly jig. Just kidding, that jig will catch em! Good job.

    Not too long IMHO.

    Next make sure if you cut the hair to cut the end that you cut it off the skin and don't cut the real natural ends off. It's better if it is not all cut the same length and let the natural look to it show by having a tapered tail.

    Colors look good and the jig will catch fish as is.

    maachuu your jig is definitely a good color combination the material that you use on your tail is excellent we've done extremely well here on crappie with it the length of the jig is right on.but I prefer my jigs a little shorter than most.
