    Default plastic hair material

any you guys ever use plastic hair materials for jig tails?i picked some up with a few other things at a shop that carries some tying odds n ends.it seems to me that this shop is mostly stocking saltwater fishing types of things, but i could still use the stuff they stock.anyways im about to do a few jigs with some plastic hair and see how things go.i don't imagine it wouldn't work out fine to be honest the plastic hair stuff is way cheaper than the bucktails they had tho.

I see and have a good bit (several kinds) of synthetic hair, but I am not sure what you are calling plastic hair?

Hard to tell from that picture and I don't think I have ever seen it in person so I just don't know it, but probably will work. See how they look when tied since you have some.

Sorry can't say much here as I just don't know, but maybe one of the guys knows.

From the pic it looks like the crimped nylon. I have some in red and have used a little of it. Ties good and makes a good looking jig. Got it from Jann's Netcraft.

I use some for epoxy flies, but never on jigs. Too stiff IMO. I like 'bou.
