Default Minnows and leeches tied up and ready

Thought I would tie up some minnows and leech patterns since the weather finaly warmed up here so I have them ready to try and finaly get a crappie out of my local lake.

The heads of the minnows were painted by flatfish, I still can't replicate it but still trying. I think they will work a lot better than my paint jobs have. With some heat getting into the local lakes I hope that the leeches will become effective too.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Nice jigs and the colors are great. Your lakes are just warming up and our lakes are starting to fry the fish LOL.

I should have put some flash in the leech ones but it was an after thought. Will have to tie another set with black and purple flash in the tails. Maybe add a flash stripe in the body for a little more flash.

Good looking jigs. Nice paint job too flatfish. Some of those have faces on them they look so good. I'm with StumpHunter, our fish are almost cooked when we catch em!
