Very nice!
It 's good to try different things and let us know how you do with it. I wold like to know if the tail just turns into a stick looking when wet and if it does I would think about putting some Flex Cement along the stem to try and hold the tail apart some. I do that on my wing jigs along the stem to at least make them a twin tail and not just collapse when wet. However I do that with Guinea feathers and they are kind of wide so that may help them.
Nice work,
Skip
Great idea, I bet it's a b---- to tie. I might try one after a few "barley pops".
You should of loaned that to a tourny angler. Let him win a couple tourneys and then sold it to a big box mfg. Could of made MoMoney... That's SWEET!!
Thanks for the comps. I tied some of these a while back and got sidetracked... Kinda forgot about them. I dunked one in water but didnt see how it swam. I planned on using it vertically around treetops. As far as the tail having wiggle action on a retrieve, I think you would have to build up end of the tail like skip was referring to. But sitting still or slow moving it looks like the pic. There are definitely a couple things that can be added to improve it.
That's certainly "different" and it looks fishie. I like it.:)
Definitely outside the box. Looks good.
that is a cool looking jig I never thought about tying one up like that.
Nice jig!!!! Mybe try get the feathers in the braid and use a 3 turn whip finish to hold them there???
