Been looking at AtticaFish's zonker jigs so I've been playing around trying to learn how to use zonkers. This is what I've come up with so far.
1/8 oz. fish head w/powder paint
Chartreuse hackel
Chartreuse mallard flank
Black nylon chenille
Black rabbit zonkers

Very nice.
"Garden Hackler"lol
Love zonkers and I have one whole drawer dedicated just to rabbit zonkers and crosscut strips. Even have the Mag Zonkers in some colors. Love the two color like white & blue and pretty much all the colors they make and yes I do fish with them some.
Good stuff you can make with them. This is the only material I can think of I use super glue at all and it where I tie in the tail and start the upper body with cross cut as I don't want it pulling out.
What did you make the wings out of?

Thanks guys, yes that is mallard flank in chartreuse that I tyed forward to make the pectoral fins. It's a bugger to tye, wouldn't want to go into mass production with these! Ha! Lots of fun though. He looks like he could have played on "The Last Of The Mohicans" with that mohawk! LOL
