Just thought I'd post how I keep my powder painted jigs running and dripping to a minimum while curing.
I hang my jigs in the toaster oven with a Christmas tree ornament hanger through the eye of the hook.
You can buy these on sale after Christmas at Wal-Mart for $.25 for 100, paper clips will work... or just a single strand wire.
I hang my minnow head jigs in the oven horizontally, if the pp runs it just give the jig a little bigger belly, and I'm ok with that.
These jigs are finished and I hung them in the oven for a pic, that's why the thermometer is on zero.
Ball head jigs are a little different, if the paint runs when the jigs are hung horizontally it will give the jig a belly like the minnow head jigs... but I don't like the way that looks. So I put a little bullet sinker on the end of the hook and hang them vertically.
If the pp runs or drips it will run down onto the collar.
You can see where the silver paint on this jig ran a little bit on the collar of this jig.
If the pp runs enough to drip, it will run down the shank of the hook and drip off like in this pic.
The white and pearl coats of this jig held fine, but when I applied the glow pink to one side it ran and dripped. By doing it this way I still have a nice round head on the jig and the pp can be scraped off of the hook if desired.
I hope this helps if someone is having trouble with pp dripping and running.

I have not had any powder paint drips in about 3 or more years and all you have to do is paint enough that you know or have a way that works for you. If I use our regular oven I do have a drip pan with Aluminum foil over it just in case as the wife wouldn't be happy if I did have a drip, LOL!
I am sure this will help new people to using powder paint for sure.

Good idea using the little hangers!!
LOL y'all ain't right.
I stopped dipping my jig heads and just use a little model paint brush to apply. The roundheads I dip,but I found that when I use the brush and just tap the paint on tops of minnows it looks 100% better and you use 1/3 the amount of paint.I'm not in production, but have got mine down that they even impress me,lol.
