    Default New Color Combo

Just want to see what you guys think about this color combo. I think that I like it. It's growing on me, but have not put it in front of any crappie yet. I do use this a lot with a Chartreuse head and I know that kills them.

Looks like a winner to me skip. An orange head should work good too. That one ought to help load coolers.

your color combination skit is fantastic I definitely like chartreuse and blue is a combination. Do you always use a single feather skip I have been in the habit of using the three or four how is your catch ratio with this single feather jig I have never tried it.

Well look at it like this, have more than one member here that say they caught over 300 on one single jig. I seem to find a way to give it to the wood gods in the lake so I seldom can catch over 100 without losing it. Have lots of great feed back and one not long ago, I think the email came 4/18. Said he had been out in his boat 20 times and had boated 868 so far this year and over 600 of them in the first of April until then. A few days later he had been 2 more time and went over 1000 for this year. He made another jig order, LOL!

I have a lot of reasons I tie mine like I do, but really don't want to go into all that.

Skip:Nothing wrong with that color head. I have been working with different color heads on a couple of my patterns that I use on Caddo. A silver minnow pattern that I tie I have found out works well with a red head. And a woolie that I have tied for years with no painted head is just dynomite with a Flo. Orange head with eyes. Wish I would have started to paint heads and eyes on my heads years ago. As far as the way you tie keep it up if they catch more than 25 on a jig. Have had to change my technique as these bream and crappie can sure tear up a jig. I have found the red ear bream to be the worst of the lot. But they also have the best flavor of all the bream just my opinion.

BTW the bream bedded up last week here on Caddo. Fished four days and had a ball catching bream and crappie out on the Islands. And yes the wood gods got a lot of the jigs that I had made. Just hope that they enjoy them.

As always, top shelf. I like that chenille - bulk and flash. Good colors, I need to try the red head.

Looks great. I'm not a huge believer in head color mattering, and with that said I agree that orange would look good with it too, but that one there will put plenty of fish in the boat I'm sure.

Thanks guys and something about this candy pink and make a huge difference as to what color you put it over. This is the only way I like the candy pink and again whish I could show it better.
