I'd say if you're wanting to try it get your jigs already molded from some of the guys here that sell them, and get some tying materials and one of the cheaper vice's to start and see if you'll like it.

You can buy the better vise to start and if you don't stick with it you can always sell it no problem, I personnally don't use a rotary but that's the way I learned to tie.

If you have any questions let us know we're here to help.

I say the rotary vise because once you start tying and showing off your stuff you get excited and get a picture of them, then once you post it for all your tying friends to see,you see a spot in the jig that if you would have been able to see it,you would'nt have shown it,lol.Been there and done that, quite a few times.lol.And it gives you such a better product.

ok the easiest way is to buy a 20.00 vise from bass pro or else where and along with a bobbin and a whip finisher (both pretty in expinsive ) go to hobby lobby and buy an assorted bag of marabou and then get u some chenille from crazyangler this set up should be cheap and get u started you dont need a rotary vise to get started its lots of fun and very rewarding in the end you will like the end results
    thanks Crappie Josh aka C.J.
    always ready to go fishing
