    Default Newest Tie-- The ELIMINATOR

I hope this comes out as good as the jigs I've made. I'm just trying to show the logical progression of a jig from start to finish. I hope this helps the new tyer to learn and is enjoyable for the more acomplished tyer.
    This is the ELIMINATOR

*I start with a 1/16 oz. round head jig with a #4 Matzuo sickle hook.
*Next I powder coat the jig heads in the Purple color I mixed. (Top Secret)
    * Now bake the jig heads a 350 degrees for 17 minutes. This cures the powder coat to a real hard finish.
*Using UTC 210 ultra thread I start my wrap.
    * Now I'll start adding Krystal Flash (Rainbow).
    * Six strands of Flashabou (Pink/Pearl) is added.
    * Six strands of Krystal Flash (Fl. Chartreuse) is added.
    * I wrap Black Chenille to give the body some bulk.
    * Using Ice Chenille Med. (Hot Purple) I wrap over the black chenille for my final body finish.
    * I always finish my jigs with several whips and just a drop or two of head cement.
    * Eyes are optional. Sometimes I paint them, sometimes I don't.

Excellent looking jig Pop! I don't know why more folks don't use all flash for tails. I make them for myself and have great results. Don't see many in stores either. Great job!
