Hays, the comment about crappie not breaking water would be right about 99.95% of the time. One day while fishing a river close to home I had two crappie jump clear out of the water throwing the jig in the process. Both were fish over a lb.It's been about ten years since it happened and hasn't happened since. Some will get there head out of the water and try to shake the hook. Some crazy crappie in that river. Now when I see one start to come up I stick the rod tip under water to keep them down. Once, while fishing Mark Twain lake during the spawn crappie were so aggressive they would come out of the water and grab a jig held a couple inches above the water's surface.Unfortunately these days are few and far between.

I enjoy fishing out of a Fat Cat float tube when stalking crappie. I have caught several slabs that break the surface and am lucky to have had a net in my left hand to catch them in. They rarely jump but when they do, usually a big one. I have lost a few as well. Of course they were State Records!! Those big ones always get away!!

Yeah AZ, I got a small head. Dont laugh, its not funny, I can hardly ever find a hat that I like, that fits right. It either looks like a top hat on me, or the bill looks like it is 2foot long. I usually end up with a youth flex fit. Its not like it is abnormally tiny, such as the guys hands in the BK commercial, I just wear a fitted size of about 6 3/4, where most guys wear a 7 1/4 or bigger.

I thought you were you going to say it was for your kid, did'nt mean to make fun.But when you said that all I could think of was that guy on the BK comercial.Sorry.
-
I wear a 6 3/4 also so your not alone, I have a big forehead but the dome part is little.
-
Dont worry AZ, I didnt take it seriously, I was just messin with u, but the whole hat size thing does suck.
-
dude could be like me and have a head so big that it looks like I grabbed my grandson hat and tried to squeeze my huge melon in it. I think I would rather have a hat to big lol

Yeah I bet thats no fun either. I might go to the local hat shop at the mall and see what it would cost, and what kind of designs they have. They have a computerized embroidery machine, and a huge book of designs.

Ship, I sent him a PM and asked him to stick his head in here. He's busy with a tourney and stuff this weekend so he won't answer right away. We'll hear from him soon.
