my wife finds out she is not going to be happy at all. I ordered my Jungle Cock cape today grade#1 so now what to do with it and jigs. No question these jigs and flies will be fore personal use only most likely anyway.
I am so looking forward to getting this and being able to do a little tying for my self. Maybe I can come up with something that will catch a crappie this spring shallow on a fly rod, now I would like that. Saw a post the other day a young guy caught his personal best on a fly rod and was over 2 pound crappie.
That is kind of inspiring me a bit to try more fly fishing for crappie and gills, maybe a few bass.
I just thinking using a natural feather for eyes is really cool.
Anyway just thought I would share my excitement with you guys and now just worry about how the wife is going to react to that, LOL!
This addiction makes us do some things probably better off not doing at times huh???

If she hasn't killed you or beaten you up or left by now, I think you are
safe. Ha, ha. My wife is so used to it, she just rolls her eyes now and says
"I get one of the jigs!" My wife makes flower creations (hair pieces, corsages
etc) so it's "a horse apiece" and I never ask for flower stuff!!

Sittin here wishin I was out fishin!!!
some pretty slick looking stuff...
Each one of the spots is a different feather and they use them for eyes on high end fancy flies. SO got some thinking to do when it gets here in a few days. I do want to come up with a jig for them, but probably will mostly go to flies.

If they are $60 they probably are not while or not good quality. You can find them in the UK for around $150 or so, but here in the good old USA it's hard to find them better stuff for anything less than that. Is one of the birds that had some problems getting them here for a while as I understand it. Oh and forgot to say yes they can cost as much as $250.00 and above.
I got a break and landed a 10% discount and shipping included for about $163 I think it was.
And PBUG2009 that is why I said these will almost be for sure persona; use as not one will be able to find reason to buy something that cost so much. I mean you put one nail on each side and you already got $2 in it, LOL! You can find places that sell something like 10 of the nails for $10.00. So yeah not low cost feathers for sure.
