This is how I do it...it's quite simple and after selling dozens for saltwater I've not had one complaint yet.
No super glue, no tweezers, no bodkins, no need to lift the eye off....works pretty good.
Step 1 - Tie your jig. Finish and either apply head cement now or use the nail polish.
Step 2 - Lay your card of 3D eyes against the eye socket. With your thumb, slide the eye into the socket. Press down. Coat with Hard as Nails. If you get too much it won't look 3D as it fills it up, so make sure to brush out the area around it. Flip over and repeat. Coat whole head with Hard as Nails. Reapply again later if you want extra security. I don't.
Step 3 - Let dry.
That's it folks. No need to make it difficult! :D
