question about jig skirts

Can anybody tell me why there is so many options for jig skirts or atleast point me in the direction where I can find out the pros and cons of each type? Thanks

the reason why there is so many different skirts on the market real simple they make them to catch fishermen everybody wants to try something different that's why they come out with different skirts.we try to come up with something new every year in the way of the jig people are curious and want to try something new curiosity kills the cat. That's why aren't tying form here we always try to keep up with one another on new patterns and of course personally when I fish I like to use something new also.

Nah. Crappie jigs. All the different types of hairs and other materials.
