I do use them on marabou jigs alot while trolling and some casting, personaly prefer them to RR's. Makes switching out your jig color fast and easy and you don't get feathers or hair wrapped in the swivel nearly as often as RR's. I also use the Idaho style spinners... same idea but with the spinner in-line with the jig. Here's a pic pulled from Jann's Netcraft if your not sure what i'm talking about.

I have used some and caught some fish on safety pin spinners, but when you say bulk, what do you mean?
I like Roadrunner a lot more personally and hardly use the safety pin spinners even though I have a lot of them, they just sit in my room here on the shelf.

I just looked at where I buy my blades and they didn't have these made up. I would just do a search for Safety pin spinners.

when you make your roadrunner jigs do you use any special size of blades and do u paint your eyes on or do you use the 3D eyes?

    Links to Jann's.....

They actually call the safety pin or elbow style - Jig Spinners - have the forms in 25/pack but rest are only 2/pack.

Here's the link to the other one - Hildebrandt Idaho Spinner

I use the blades that come with them or order the same size if I need other type blades like willow leaf as I like them. Each size has a blade size.

I paint the eyes on mine. The 3D eyes wouldn't be very good on them since the Roadrunner eyes bulge out some and the 3D need and inset.

Oh and I don't make them, but I do tie them. I buy the heads from Blakemore. You would want to do that as it takes a lot of heads to buy from them and not easy to do. Plus you have to wait until they are made in what ever country they come from. If you should want some unpainted I may be able to help with that.

i've been thinking about buying a Horse Head & Pony Head Jig mold from do-itmolds.com mold number 1220 that does jig head from 1/48 1/32 1/16 1/8 3/16 1/4 and it recomends a #12 crane swivel but it dont recomend a blade size?
