Well I finally got some 1/8 oz. Roadrunners and feel a bit stupid too. I was scared after seeing the 1/16 that the 1/8 heads would be just huge, but that didn't happen. Actually their 1/16 almost weighs 1/8, not quite, but very close. So when I got these about the only difference without very close inspection was the 1/8 just had a bigger hook. Anyway here is one I tied up to show for a little feed back. Any of you that have any 1/16, know these are about the same with a lot larger hook. The 1/16 has a #4 and the best I can tell these have a #1 Size hook.
So what do you guys think. I probably should have put a 1/16 next to it, but believe me it is hard to tell any difference just looking. I was really surprised at how much the 1/16 weighs.

"Garden Hackler"lol
I have not been able to try the 1/8 yet, but think they should be like the 1/32 and the 1/16 which is the blade under. I just got these yesterday so have only tied this one so far and not got any wet yet. I have always had great luck with Roadrunners and have been fishing them since the mid 1970's. I especially like the 1/32 oz. with marabou tail in the spring and will use that probably 90% of the time and other times just a regular 1/32 oz. jig. When they are in 12'-14' I can still use the 1/32, but if windy I can also use this or the 1/16.
Thanks,

Would't those work really good on a spider rig moving about .5 mph? Would that speed make for a slow roll? Hope I made sense.
They do look good for sure.
It ain't nuttin but luck.
I think they probably would. I also think they will be fine trolling beside the boat maybe a little faster in say 12'-14' of water. I move up in weight if the wind is blowing too in that depth. But for sure in deeper water I would think they would be very good for what you are talking about. Made perfect sense to me.
Thanks,

i love trollin 1/8 for big white bass but they run a bit deeper then i like at slower speeds

Yeah the head size is about the same but different hook. Even when I make my own it looks like that (the ones with collars). but I've poured about 10 from the new non collared mold (don't tell the wife I did it over the stove I'd be dead).
I really do like the color combo you have there. Not only would the crappie go for them but I'd have to say the walleye would like those tasty morsels too.

Hey thanks Fatman. I wish the walleye lived down here too so I could catch some. Always heard how good they eat.

LOL, No they just can't take the heat I guess. I don't even know how far North I would need to go, but never fished much North of where I am now. Don't even have small mouth here either and that is another I would like to catch, and with them it is more of a want to catch them rather then eat. Walleye I have always hear how great they are as far as table fair so that is what I think of when they come up as a subject. They don't look like great fighting machines like Small Mouth do.
